In Mexico City, near the Palace of Bellas Artes, is a monument dedicated to Beethoven. It commememorates the centenary of the ninth symphony. It was a gift from the German colony to the city of Mexico. The sculptor Goldenbech created this representation following the famous death mask in 1921. |
